"Will Powerpoint be available?" I e-mailed the conference hosts, who promptly responded "We have a laptop and projector if that is what you mean by Powerpoint."
Well, that's not quite the helpful answer I needed. I love to tinker with presentations until the last minute, but I don't want to lug my heavy laptop, and the cute little Notebook I can borrow from the library has powerpoint viewer but not the program itself. What to do?
Voila! says my friendly librarian. Use Google Docs to create the presentation and access it anywhere that has internet (or download it to the Notebook desktop).
Ah, technology is such a wonderful tool when the people surrounding it are wise and helpful.
